  11. I'm looking to buy a USR Courier "V.Everything" modem this week.  I've 
  12. finally set my mind on it and am upgrading from a Sportster (which served 
  13. me extremely well I might add).  The only thing is that I've chosen to go 
  14. external on the Courier whereas my Sportster was Internal.  UART was 
  15. never an issue before, but has suddenly become one.  Now, here's my 
  16. $1000000 question:

  18. Should I make the investment in a Hayes ESP card or would a standard I/O 
  19. card with a 16550 suffice?  Would the ESP make much of a difference?

  21. Oh yeah, one other thing...  I'm not dead-set on the Hayes ESP...  It's 
  22. just the only High Speed Serial Comm card I know of...  Any better 
  23. suggestions out there?
